I'm not gonna lie, I was totally flattered. I do the things I do not for the recognition, but because I want to contribute my time and efforts and most of all I have passion for it. But on the other hand... it feels good to know that my work is recognized.

#31 Practice Makes Perfection

Being at practice gets me so frustrated, especially when things don't go as planned. I think that's just how I am. Although I may say that I'm flexible and tell you it's okay, deep down I'm really pissed off when things don't go my way. That's what I get for being an only child I guess. But it's weird, because I look forward to this frustration every year.

It's what's been keeping me going for the past couple of months.

#30 Falala-lafel

Jensen took Randy and I to Pita Pocket since I can't eat meat and all. I tried a falafel for the first time.



It was pretty good and no matter what people say IT DOES NOT TASTE LIKE MEAT. I know it's not supposed to taste like meat, but Jensen said it did. So when I tried it, I was expecting meat. You know how the story goes. We also tried stuffed grape leaves. And that was... interesting, for lack of better words. Not something I'd eat in the near future.
Why is it that whenever Bark is together, we're always eating? Especially the Barkada big eaters aka Jensen, Randy, and me.

#29 Shaved Ice and Shik Do Rak

Tried the shaved ice truck for the first time and it was pretty good. The free sweet cream is legit if you like diabetes and all.

Shaved ice in freezing weather + shik do rak parking lot + bonding time with two amazing people = the perfect study break.

To the two amazing people: Thanks for the session. You answered my long-pondered questions and you let me open up and get some things off my chest. Thanks for inviting me for the last night snack.

I had to do Fat Tuesday right. For the next 40 days I only gave up two items.

• No meat
• No sweets (including: ice cream, cake, cookies, candies, cupcakes, chocolate, etc.)

First stop, Wingstop and the 50 piece family pack.

Goodbye meat. See you in 40 days.

Second stop, Coldstones. Laters ice cream.

Last stop, DTF.

Yesterday, a man by the name of Jeff Ondash broke the Guinness World Record for the most hugs in 24 hours with 7777 hugs. Here's a link to the article. It seems easy enough. I kinda want to try to break that record during my birthday weekend. My sign will say something like "FREE HUGS from the birthday girl" or "HUG ME I'm 21!" HAH.

Our annual Christmas gathering. I'm so glad that we were complete this year and that we were able to be a part of Jennalyn's first Christmas.

This year, theme: Disney Princesses. With a white elephant that consisted of 2 snuggies, new moon the game, up dvd, the orphanage movie set, the game of things, cars cups, monkey soap dispenser, and a hand-made barkada picture frame.

While I was getting dinner at my mama's New Year's party, I saw so many sights I've never seen before: practically everyone from church outside of church, the biggest "toda-toda" group EVER, and *sigh* Father Leo and Deacon Sam getting their grooooooooove on. O.o
It was kind of weird seeing all the people treat Father Leo and Deacon Sam like celebrities, crowding them and taking pictures. I'm surprised that they didn't ask them for their autograph.

So I was one of the few in the world to treat New Year's Eve as a regular Thursday night. I had work the next morning at 6 AM, which meant no partying for me.. Well I COULD, but I wouldn't be functional the next morning. My nights activities consisted of counting down with New York (there's no way I'd be up to count down with LA) and getting my dinner at the New Years party my mama went to. Obviously, I sent the New Year's txt at 9, and the following are a hand-full of the replies I received.
