#16 Elf

As much as I hate movies like this, watching Elf every year is a tradition with taco bell (TB=fambam; one day I'll explain why we're called "taco bell"). I can't remember how it actually became a tradition - especially since it's a fairly recent movie - but isn't that how all traditions are? All I know is.. if it's Thanksgiving, we're watching Elf during our food coma.
Seriously, the holiday season isn't complete without this movie.

REMEMBER: the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear !!

PS
If you didn't already know, Jovie is Summer from 500 Days of Summer. I know, right?!

#14.5 Frosty the Snowman

The end of the song is my favorite part. Oh little Michael.

#14.4 I'll be Home for Christmas

For some reason every year, Jensen reminds me that this is his favorite song.
I KNOW IT'S YOUR FAVORITE SONG, OKAY? hah

#14 Christmas Songs

I looooooooooooooooooooove it when KOST starts playing christmas songs. It makes me super happy. With that being said, I'm posting Christmas songs until the end of the season. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

First song of the season is Mele Kalikimaka by Bette Midler. She's whack, but I like her version best.

#12 Hot Apple Cobbler

actually, ANY cobbler for that matter.

Funny story. So when I was younger, Maricris and I had a sleepover at Kat's house. The whole night we ate a whole mess of food - when do I never eat that much? By this point I was so full. Then, Kat's mom baked a peach cobbler. It looked so good I couldn't resist. I said, "I'll just have a small piece." Before you knew it, I ended up eating more than half the cobbler.

Whatever. Kat's mom knows how to make cobbler.

This is not Kat's mom's cobbler. This is the apple cobbler from Woodranch.

#11 Sweet Pea

This was a Kodak commercial right?
I la la love this song.

#10 Carving Pumpkins

This past Halloween I had the urge to re-live my childhood and carve a pumpkin. I let my creative juices flow and this was the result.

I call it a nurse-o-lantern with a matching syringe.

Until that day, I never realized how much work it actually takes to pumpkin carving. How come I don't remember it being this difficult? It already takes a lot of energy to just clean-out that sucker - annoying too. After straining my wrist and ruining a knife, I have to say I'm pretty happy with my pumpkin. Hope everyone had a happy Halloween.

#9 Porto's

Had a Porto's run with Kat. I had a potato ball sandwich - which is always delicious. We both bought cheese rolls to-go. And topped it off with three desserts.
Porto's + bonding time = good friday. (not to be confused with the religious day)

tiramisu cup = yum
pina colada cake = WOW
napoleon = eh, okay.

#8 Friendship Games

Eboard pictures are finally complete. I apologize to them for my absence. Although I've resigned from my position, it makes me happy that they still consider me a part of them. <3 eboard.

It was a sweet victory to get 1st place on the last game of the day. I have to congratulate the Tidal Wave team for the big win. I am so proud to be 1/20 of this team. Waiting for the results of the first heat was intense and nerve-racking. After not hearing our names called for 3rd place or 2nd place, all hope was lost until the announcer said, "And in first place.. Mount St. Mary's." It was an amazing sight to see all of pangkat cheering just behind the barriers. The excitement alone was the cherry ending to an already perfect friendship games sundae.

What? Mount St. Mary's 6th place? It's amazing how far we've come. Just a couple of years ago, Mount St. Mary's was literally at the bottom. Back then, it was an accomplishment to not be last place. Now we are finally considered one of the top contenders at friendship games. C'mon Pangkat, if we continue to move up the board every year, we'll make it to final rampage soon.

#7 Michael Buble

Michael Buble reminds me of a cabaret/jazz club singer. I never get tired of hearing him and listening to his music. It relaxes me especially when I'm stressed. Whenever I hear him, it feels like it's raining outside - which is awesome because I love the rain - and having a cup of coffee. IDKKKKKK

PS
I would love to have him sing at my wedding. <3

#6 How I Met Your Mother

My new show obsession. This is how I've been spending all my free time. It's a good thing there's 5 seasons.

#5 Tokyoflash

These watches are awesome. I'm always amazed/excited when I see the new watches. At times, they're just ridiculous to read but still... the fanciness draws me in. Which leads to the million dollar question - actually $258.66 question: Can someone please buy this for me?

#4 Mondays

Although everyone dreads this day, I LOVE IT! Mondays are essentially my "weekend". While everyone has to drag themselves to get up and go to work/school. I get to sleep in. Bwahahaha. The down side is that I usually have to give up either Saturday or Sunday - or both. Well, whatever brings in the money.

#3 500 Days of Summer

As much as I liked this movie, it hurts me. You just have to watch it.
It really is not a love story. It is a story about love. FCK.

#2 Being with Eboard

This amazing group of women and our two men have made a big impact on my life. They have taught me the meaning of teamwork and self-sacrifice. I've learned so much from every single individual and I love the fact that I can actually have one-on-one time with each and every person.

WE ARE THE ENVY OF MOST BOARDS & I'M DAMN PROUD OF THAT!!
I love you Steph, Tashi, Ves, Gigi, Tiff, Michelle, Mary, Francis, Giselle, Erika, Kat, Ate Rachelle, Charis, and last but not least Bullet. <3

#1 Taking a Class Just for Kicks

My #1 is taking a random class. Last night was the first day of History of Motion Picture. Okay, first of all I'm majoring in Nursing with a Business minor. Nothing close to Cinema, Photography, OR anything artsy! The reason why I took this was because none of the Physical Education classes fit into my schedule. I just figured, okay watch movies and write a couple papers on them - seemed easy enough.

So the professor started talking about the first "movie" the flip book, blah blah more technical things blah blah blah. Then, he showed us a series of Edison's first kinetoscope shows. Some of them were so random like a person sneezing, a bodybuilder, etc. But there was one called "Boxing Cats". The first thing I thought was "WTF" then I laughed. So through the power of YouTube I now present to you "Boxing Cats"

*EDIT
We can all thank Thomas Edison and Henry Welton for indirectly helping create YouTube.

Introduction

So I decided that this blog is going to be dedicated to the little things that make your day. The things that make you giggle, or laugh hysterically.

Too many people are always busy and - forgive the cliche - never stop and smell the roses. I work in a seniors-home and it amazes me how simple things like being able to walk by yourself or pealing an apple puts a smile on their face. We take for granted a lot of things when we should be appreciating them.

So whenever your pissed of with the world, take a deep breath, relax, and think about something that makes you happy.

GOAL: get to 1000 before 2010.

EDIT*
Again, forgive all my cliches.
No room for pessimism here.
